The Metor 300 Portable is a versatile, state-of-the-art metal detector that combines advanced metal detection technology with an appealing, but practical design. The Metor 300 Portable is an excellent choice for both permanent and temporary installations depending on your application.

SECURITY FOR LARGE CROWDS
Due to enhanced discrimination features, the Metor 300 Portable is well suited for fast one-time security screening of large groups of people. To assist security personnel in locating threat objects accurately and consistently, the Metor 300 Portable is equipped with two zone displays.

WIDE RANGE OF APPLICATIONS
The Metor 300 Portable combines a high performance metal detector with compact and durable mechanics as well as a stylish appearance that is is suitable for even the most architecturally demanding environments. An IP55 protection class makes the Metor 300 Portable ideal for outdoor use.

MOBILE SECURITY
The mechanics of the Metor 300 Portable are specifically designed to endure multiple installations in various locations. The unit is simple to install and can be set up by one person in five minutes. Due to its compact structure and light weight design, the Metor 300 Portable can easily be transported from location to location without any tools for set up or dismantle. As an extra benefit for temporary applications, the unit can be transported while fully assembled.

USER FRIENDLY
The Metor 300 Portable has a menu-based user interface that enables fast and easy programming. The user can calibrate the unit using pre-set detection programs and automated frequency / sensitivity adjustments or operate the unit with pre-defined calibration that is saved in the unit’s memory.
As a safety feature, the Metor 300 Portable incorporates a calibration guard that monitors parameter settings. In addition, the unit’s cables and connectors are locked inside the crosspiece. The Metor 300 Portable is equipped with a power guard that alarms when the unit loses power, (i.e. if the power cord becomes disconnected).

TROUBLE-FREE OPERATION
With its immunity to electromagnetic interference and vibration, the Metor 300 Portable is easy to install in the most demanding environments. Several units can be placed in close proximity to one another, increasing the level of flexibility when planning an installation site.

TRUE TRAFFIC COUNTERS
The Metor 300 Portable features intelligent traffic and alarm counters that calculate traffic flow and resultant alarms. Counters are integrated inside the zone display, counting both increment and decrement, thereby giving a true traffic count.

  • Battery Backup System: Up to 8 hours of runtime when no power is available.
  • Remote Control Unit: A bi-directional remote control unit enables easy programming as well as copying of the parameters from one unit to other units. This control unit, unique only to the Metor brand of walk-through metal detectors, makes programming several detectors fast and easy. The operation of the control unit is secured with passwords and a code-hopping encryption algorithm to prevent unauthorized access.
  • Integrated Traffic Lights: The Metor 300 Portable can be equipped with clearly marked traffic lights on the crosspiece to optimize the traffic flow and speed up the throughput rate.
  • ADA Compliant Crosspiece: 32 in. crosspieces are available to meet ADA compliance for wheelchair accessibility.
  • Stabilizers: Installation aid for applications with uneven surfaces.

  • MetorNet 3 Pro: Remote Security Management System collects the statistics on traffic flow and alarm data of up to 255 Metor walk-through metal detectors and generates easy-to-read reports. This data can be used e.g. for the resource allocation at the airports and thus saves valuable human resources. Through this optional feature MetorNet 3 Pro, all Metor walk-through metal detectors can be connected to one network and the parameters can be monitored and adjusted from a single PC.
