Rapiscan MVXR5000 Automatic Explosives Detector

The Rapiscan MVXR5000 is the latest addition to our growing line of Hold Baggage Screening (HBS) systems. Multi-view (5-view) high quality dual-energy X-ray images enable the advanced automated explosives detection algorithms to provide exceptionally high levels of detection with class leading image quality and low false alarm rates.

100% Level 1, 2, and 3 Baggage Screening

100% baggage screening is accomplished by the high speed throughput, up to 1800 bags per hour, and accurate automated explosives detection (level 1) capabilities of the Rapiscan MVXR5000.  This high throughput is matched with gigabyte data transfer capabilities allowing near-real time suspicious bag analysis by a networked group of remote operators (level 2). Remote operator analysis is aided by the identification of the potential threat item(s) by the automated detection algorithms. Images can also then be transmitted to the manual inspection stations (level 3) as a search aid, or images can be sent to supervisor workstations for additional analysis.

Advanced Fast Detection Algorithms

Fast reconstruction and detection algorithms use the 5 views of high resolution dual-energy images to detect the full range of explosive threats. By determining the presence and position of a threat based upon context, material density, size and effective atomic number the multiple views allow optimal performance for the detection of materials in configurations typically difficult to detect.

Robust Design

The Rapiscan MVXR5000 has multiple layers of network redundancy designed to ensure the highest levels of system availability and fail-safe operation for the most demanding aviation security environments.
